Security & Restrictions Overview
Updated on 5/6/2026 • 2 Minutes to read
The Security tab is the foundation of every MobiHeal Android policy. It is the first section you configure when building a new policy and it covers the most critical aspects of device behavior — how the device locks, how data is encrypted, what passcode strength is required, and what happens automatically when a device falls out of compliance.
What This Section Covers
- Security Settings — Location mode, screen capture restrictions, factory reset prevention, keyguard behavior, Play Protect enforcement, and encryption type.
- Password Policies — Passcode quality, minimum length, failed attempt wipe threshold, password history, and complex password character requirements.
- Policy Enforcement Rules — Automated block and wipe actions triggered when a device remains non-compliant beyond a defined grace period.
- Cross-Profile Security Policies — Data sharing and copy-paste boundaries between Work and Personal profiles on BYOD devices.
- Advanced Security Overrides — Untrusted app blocking, developer option restrictions, Common Criteria Mode, and Play Protect verification enforcement.
